Backup, and restore to different OS, same server?

I'm wondering how easy, or difficult it would be to backup all WHM/cpanel accounts/settings from CeentOS 6, wipe the server, and then restore the backed up settings/accounts to a fresh Ubuntu install on the same server. Is it as easy as installing the OS, installing cpanel, and restoring the backup? Also, what about the cPanel license? I manage the server, so I can give you just about any other info you need. Thanks in advance!

  Impossible since cpanel does not support Ubuntu Centos 7 yes as easy as that if you are using the same IP the license will be recognized during the install
