Upgrade from v84.0.21 to 86.0.4 hung
cPanel prompted me in WHM to update to 86.0.4 so I started it. It moved right along until about 45 minutes ago when this appeared in the log, and it has been stuck at the last line since then:
Any idea whether it's normal for it be hung at this point for this long, or how I can get it moving again? Thanks!

Hello, It's not really normal to be stuck here, did it complete successfully? 0 -
Hi, I ultimately found the upgrade log file and it completed successfully in the log file. The screen simply stopped and never recovered, so it seems the issue was that the browser stopped updating during the update (although the browser did continue to function normally otherwise). This was done in the latest version of Chrome. I looked back and found this happen a year or two ago during another update -- it stopped in the browser but continued to run and completed successfully in reality. Thanks! 0 -
Ahhh, I was unaware that you'd performed this in the browser. I'm glad that it completed successfully! Thanks for following up. 0 -
Yes, I usually log into cPanel/WHM and see the alert at the top-right corner to apply the latest update and click it, which goes to the browser-based update page. Then it shows the scrolling progress box displaying each step and the current time at each step. That's where it hung part way through... at least in the browser. It's happened once before where it successfully completed the upgrade on the server but the browser simply stopped updating earlier in the process. Hopefully next time I'll remember that this issue happens and it's not likely to be a problem with the update actually completing on the back-end. :) 0 -

hey How are you? I want to do the same upgrade but I want know your experience after you did it.. because I have a lots wordpress sites running and I dont know if I will need to know something else before update it... Thank you so much!0 -
I've had no issues with the upgrade, but please understand that I do not run any Wordpress sites on my server, so I don't know offhand if it would have any impact on such sites or if any special preparations or precautions would be necessary. 0
