Hello, It doesn't appear to be going far: Queuing daily backup copy of "olivares" for transport of "/backup_nas/2020-02-29/accounts/olivares.tar" to "2020-02-29/accounts/olivares.tar"
Though it does seem odd still. Can you add the file at /var/cpanel/backups/config
As well as any backup_destination files that may be present in /var/cpanel/backups/
(remove any identifying information that may be present)

    What is BACKUPDIR: /backuponline
Associated with? Seeing the partitioning would be helpful: cat /proc/mounts

Can you provide the output of cat /proc/mounts
    as requested previously?

What I was originally trying to reconcile when requesting the mounts was the naming difference of backuponline and backup_nas - one thing you should be aware of is that any operations that take place on NFS are not supported. cPanel only supports filesystems that support flock which is noted here: System Requirements | cPanel & WHM Documentation We do have some instructions on how to configure your backups when using NFS How to Run Backups on Locally-Mounted Remote Filesystems | cPanel & WHM Documentation
