CSF and testing Brute force attacks

I have set a record for the login page inside CSF and set and need to know how to test working condition if report will be sent in the case of Brute force attack. When I try failed attempts it is not sent per email even all other messages are reported. CUSTOM1_LOG = "/etc/apache2/logs/domlogs/*/*"

  CUSTOM1_LOG = "/etc/apache2/logs/domlogs/*/*" is added under linux command: nano /etc/csf/csf.conf

  We have opened a new ticket due to security but it is an issue as it is a third party protection and not supported by cPanel support.
