I don't have any information on an ETA right now for CentOS 8 support but the UpNext page will be the first place it's discussed: Up Next | cPanel

Hey, it would be really useful to see CentOS 8 supported by cPanel. Both DirectAdmin and Plesk have released supported version for CentOS 8 while cPanel continues to lag behind. The bigger issue for us is that any servers we do provision today on CentOS 7 will need to be upgraded in less than 4 years, making our environment life cycle turn around very short and costly.

Amazing that it's already some good months since you have a Big Big cash infusion (the greedy price increase) ... and yet I fail too see any important feature request that has been requested for years ! Way to go cP ! Where's mysql 8, mariadb 10.4, centos8 ? few more months into the future ? years ? I honestly cannot believe how a big cash company (since the greedy actions) MOVES slower than a darn turtle ?

Plesk has support for centOS 8, ask them for help ;)

plesk is owned by the same company.. I wonder if this is a hint that cpanel is becoming their bastard child. it's always worrisome when one company tries to monopolize the market.

Instead of wasting time on CentOS 6, ditch it and focus on CentOS 8. I don't have to wait beacause of lazy Sysadmins. 8 months later, it will reach it's end of life!

Especially seeing as how cPanel raised prices and Plesk is always having 20% off sale, you may be on to something!

Alright, guys, I get your frustration, but this is devolving into a non-productive conversation. I'm locking this thread as a result. You can get the most up to date information on CentOS 8 support by going here: Up Next | cPanel when more information is available.
