Cant connect to WHM via hostname

Hi all, New here but been sat all day trying to work this out. I am currently trying to backup my WHM to Google Drive. I have created the API details on google side but when i need to put my redirect in it doesn't work because my hostname doesn't seem to be set up to point to my server correctly and as i don't own that domain i'm lost. So my host name is https://removed.hostname.net
but i cant access this. I can only get access to my server via WHM. I am sure if i get the hostname part working i will be ready and working with backing up to Google Drive. Thanks Craig

  Hello, The hostname can be set by you by going to WHM>>Networking Setup>>Change Hostname which will prompt you to create an A record for it as well. If you want to use the hostname provided by your provider you'll need to verify with them that it has the proper A records.

  Thanks Lauren. So for example if i have craigshort.com as a domain listed on that account. Can i simply have my WHM hostname to be server.craigshort.com and then just have that subdomain pointing to the server? Currently its just left as the default i got it. Thanks again for the reply. :) Craig
