Have users send mail from their domain rather than the root domain?

We are running into blacklist issues with SPAMHaus and I am wondering if it's better to have users send from their domain (not on a shared IP) rather than the root's domain. If so, is that an easy configuration?

  Users *should* be sending mail from their email addresses associated with their domain by default, unless by chance you're referencing PHP mail specifically

  Thanks for the reply! It looks like they are all using the server hostname in the email header... Therefore if one domain gets blacklisted, they all do... These are accounts with shared IPs... Thanks for the reply!

  That thread should still be helpful I believe, really the issue is the reply to in a lot of cases.
