Setup sender id on DNS
Hi all,
I need your help, I have set up SPF1 on my DNS and I need to add sender id on my DNS as I need to get my email to go inbox on hotmail.
Do you know how I can add the sender id on my DNS? Do I really need it to add it?
Do I need to use something like this?
mydomain.com. IN 3600 TXT "spf2.0/pra ip4:104.xx.xx.xx.xx ~all"
or
mydomain.com. IN 3600 TXT "v=spf1 a mx ip4:104.xxx.xx.xxx include:amazonses.com ~all spf2.0/pra ip4:104.xx.xx.xx.xxx include:amazonses.com ~all"
Any advice would be much appreicated.
Thanks in advance

Hi chris0147 There is no such need to add sender ID if you have SPF record set in DNS,but if you send a lot of emails to ISPs which use Sender ID instead of SPF (such as Bell Canada or AT&T addresses) then i would recommend adding a Sender ID record to your SPF record. "v=spf1 include:spf.sign-up.to ~all spf2.0/pra include:spf.sign-up.to ~all" Please let me know if you have DKIM record setup for your domain as well in DNS? 0 -
Hello, You shouldn't need to add Sender ID, a valid SPF, DKIM and PTR record should be enough. Should you want to add sender ID though, the instructions @HostNoc provided would work. 0
