Mails get Deleted without Explicit Action

Hello, I have set up a mail account on my host via cpanel and I sent some mail to the address for testing. After a few days I noticed that those mail got deleted without me doing anything. I checked Roundcube and I also tried connecting to the account from Microsoft's Outlook via IMAP, but the mail aren't showing there either. So I wondered whether if I missed some kind of setting that deletes mails after a certain of period of time. Please help me figure this out. Thanks!
