Reseller IP vs outbound
Hi,
when I assign a public IP to a reseller. Wil it's accounts also use that IP for outbound SMTP connections? I have a number of resellers, and I want to avoid that if 1 user sends spam, all resellers are affected in case of a RBL.
Thanks

They won't unless you've specifically set them to use it with the settings noted here: How to Configure the Exim Outgoing IP Address | cPanel & WHM Documentation 0 -
Hi, so every time a reseller adds a domain, I have to manually add it to the list there? That's quite cumbersome" 0 -
No, if you assign an IP address to a reseller, all of their accounts will be based on that IP address as a shared IP address - you don't need to set this up for each of them. 0 -

This is true for the account being assigned this IP but if you've not set up exim to reference /etc/mailips for outbound mail it will use the main shared IP for the server.0 -
Hi, If I enable this option: WHM: Main >> Service Configuration >> Exim Configuration Editor >> Standard Options >> Domains and IPs * Automatically send outgoing mail from the account's IP address instead of the main IP address. Will then all accounts use their configured (shared or dedicated) IP? 0 -
Accounts with a dedicated IP address will send using that IP and accounts with the shared IP will use that IP 0
