Hi, CentOS 7.8 is ready for update. Should I update? Is there something I should know abut compatibility? Thanks.

  The 7.x versions are not fundamentally different. Cpanel supports centos 7.8. Such as 7.5, 7.6.

  I also want to point out that it's only available on the CR (Continuous Release) repository and as far as I am aware it's official release hasn't happened per CentOS - Wikipedia. You can read that information here: CentOS 7.8 Release Date? - CentOS

  Kernelcare is a cloudlinux software. You should expect Cloudlinux to release patches according to the new kernel, which usually happens within 1 week.
