How do we upgrade to PHP 7.4
-
You just need to add this version in via EasyApache, provision it and configure that version accordingly. 0 -
It lacks JPEG support at the moment. Keep that in mid. 0 -
You just need to add this version
Interesting PHP 7.4 just magically appeared here: WHM -> Home -> Software -> EasyApache 4 I then clicked Customize: I then clicked: PHP Versions What I don't understand is how this appeared without any intervention on my end, I just assume I needed to upgrade WHM to see the new PHP 7.4 version.0 -

WHM and EasyApache are independent. You don't need to update WHm to get PHP 7.4, as far as I know.0 -
Hopefully someone can explain how EasyApache 4 gets updated. 0 -

It's automatically updated in WHM.0 -
How often does WHM update Easy Apache 4. Also is there some way of knowing which version of EasyApache 4 we have installed? 0 -
Hello, EasyApache is updated nightly with cPanel maintenance by default. This used to be manageable at WHM>>Server Configuration>>Update Preferences but we removed that and if you need to make changes for some reason (which is not recommended) you would do so at /etc/cpupdate.conf. For example, my server which is on edge has the following: [root@server public_html]# cat /etc/cpupdate.conf CPANEL=edge RPMUP=daily SARULESUP=daily STAGING_DIR=/usr/local/cpanel UPDATES=daily
There aren't different versions of EasyApache beyond EasyApache 3 which is deprecated. You're using EasyApache 4 based on the screenshot you've shown.0 -
