Hello, So, I'm not familiar with ArcServe - I am aware of other backup implementations like r1soft (now connectwise) or Acronis. We offer Jetbackup licenses (you can read about jetbackup here: cPanel Backup, WHM Restore Plugin & Remote Backup Service - Jetbackup) What has ArcServe's support noted in regard to the issues you're experiencing with backups? Which product specifically are you using?

When you try to install it looks like it is not allowing the installations to create the necessary folders and files, (permissions issue), out of the temp folder. We are running as root so not sure.. i have checked logs, if there is any anti-virus, etc and have not been able to track it down. Arcserve has been looking at it for weeks now and cannot seem to come up with a solution as they are not familiar with CPanel. We tested on another Centos server without CPanel and installation went well. I guess we are trying to find what the difference between Clean install of CentOS and CPanel Version.

The installation of the software would as far as I am aware be completely separate from cPanel. What are errors you're getting specifically? The more details the better here. Do keep in mind though that I don't know anything about this software and while I can attempt to help I may not be able to resolve this for you.

    I attempted again to install and here is what I get. [root@z01 ARCserve]# sh Arcserve_Unified_Data_Protection_Agent_Linux_7.0_with_Update_1.bin Extracting ... [Completed] Arcserve_Unified_Data_Protection_Agent_Linux_7.0_with_Update_1.bin: line 75: /tmp/selfextract.BjSt8w/install: Permission denied [root@z01 ARCserve]#

It's self extracting to tmp which usually has noexec set for security reasons (you don't normally want stuff to execute from tmp on a webserver) - the only way around that would be to remount tmp with exec or have it install on another mount point.
