Can no longer disable automatic updates??
With the update to 86.0.18 I can no longer disable automatic updates? We run a production environment and turn off auto updates because 90% of the time, something breaks. Like today. The issue goes back 15 years and the fix was to manually update cpanel when I can do so in a controlled environment. Now you update automatically with no way to disable without editing the cron job? I hat cpanel since this company took over.

Apparently cPanel thought it would be brilliant to remove the GUI for these settings. Now you need to edit /etc/cpupdate.conf Here you can set: RPMUP=manual UPDATES=manual "to set everything back to manual updates. 0 -
We're forcing LTS now, with automatic updates regardless of those settings. This means that no matter what, we will attempt to maintain the server on at the very least the LTS version. The GUI for that was removed with the idea that if you ACTUALLY need to implement manual updates you would be able to do so through the CLI. The correct entries for this file can be found in the documentation here: The cPanel & WHM Update Configuration File - cpupdate.conf | cPanel & WHM Documentation 0 -

What that will not do is prevent the server from being maintained on the current LTS version. If you're on 78 you will be moved to 86. 0
