Trying to upgrade wordpress.com site to wordpress.org

I have a basic wordpress.com site with my domain registration firm. I have a separate web host company and have added that domain to them. I"m now looking to create a wordpress.org site I"ve moved the names, set up in cpanel, or so I think. My webs host firm can see the wordpress.org admin panel for the site But I can"t " keeps taking me to the wordpress.com page could be an ilinks Please help. I"m a tech newbie by the way so be gentle.
