How do you have the drive configured for backups in the backup configuration, meaning what are the settings you've selected exactly. Are you looking in the correct accounts folder? If you go to /backup/weekly/2020-5-10/accounts/ what's present?

Nothing is present in that folder. There are files only in the /backup/weekly/2020-05-10/system directory (dirs/files subdirectories). I had it set up by a Linux admin in a way so that it is always mounted.

What are your retention settings? How many copies are you retaining? If it's set to always be mounted you need to ensure that you have the setting to keep a copy in the default directory selected since that's where you're backing up to.

I retain 2 copies on Weekly Backup and 1 copy Monthly Backup. By Default Directory you mean the option "Retain Backups in the Default Backup Directory"? This was unchecked, but the drive is another destination, isn't it? And how come and while system files are backed, accounts are not.

If the drive is permanently mounted (depending on the type) It's not always considered a remote backup destination - can you show me your backup configuration? That would be extremely helpful it's at /var/cpanel/backups/config

Sure, many thanks! Please note I have enabled "Retain Backups in the Default Backup Directory" to see if that makes any difference in next backup. --- BACKUPACCTS: 'yes' BACKUPBWDATA: 'no' BACKUPDAYS: 0,2,4,6 BACKUPDIR: /backup BACKUPENABLE: 'yes' BACKUPFILES: 'yes' BACKUPLOGS: 'no' BACKUPMOUNT: 'no' BACKUPSUSPENDEDACCTS: 'no' BACKUPTYPE: compressed BACKUP_DAILY_ENABLE: 'no' BACKUP_DAILY_RETENTION: 5 BACKUP_MONTHLY_DATES: 1 BACKUP_MONTHLY_ENABLE: 'yes' BACKUP_MONTHLY_RETENTION: 1 BACKUP_WEEKLY_DAY: 0 BACKUP_WEEKLY_ENABLE: 'yes' BACKUP_WEEKLY_RETENTION: 2 CHECK_MIN_FREE_SPACE: 1 DISABLE_METADATA: 'no' ERRORTHRESHHOLD: 3 FORCE_PRUNE_DAILY: 0 FORCE_PRUNE_MONTHLY: 0 FORCE_PRUNE_WEEKLY: 0 GZIPRSYNCOPTS: --rsyncable KEEPLOCAL: 1 LINKDEST: 0 LOCALZONESONLY: 'no' MAXIMUM_RESTORE_TIMEOUT: 21600 MAXIMUM_TIMEOUT: 7200 MIN_FREE_SPACE: 5 MIN_FREE_SPACE_UNIT: percent MYSQLBACKUP: accounts POSTBACKUP: 'no' PREBACKUP: -1 PSQLBACKUP: 'no' REMOTE_RESTORE_STAGING_DIR: /backup There is also another file with .backup_destination extension --- disabled: 0 host: erased id: erased name: OVHFTP passive: 1 password: "erased" path: '' port: 21 timeout: 30 type: FTP upload_system_backup: 0 username: erased
