Can I delete temp folder files from file from cpanel

    I have many files in temp folder in my panel. This files not in public_html directory. It is out of public_html directory. It contains folders and files name as below. awstats 4 KB Today, 11:48 AM sess_c08e65c2996a5efcb2fde30917541754 2.82 KB May 16, 2020, 10:43 PM ... ... cpbandwidth 4 KB Feb 4, 2015, 9:45 PM
    Please help me. Thank you.

    Hello @WINBOY Thank you for contacting cPanel! Usually the /tmp directory is cleaned when the server is rebooted. Based on the details you shared, some of these files are up to 5 years old. You can delete them safely, and any files that are required by a running process will usually be regenerated. However, it would be best to have your system administrator investigate why the files were not deleted, particularly the PHP session files. You might want to check to see if there are any running processes that are holding the files open. Additionally, you should ensure that your PHP scripts are properly configured to discard the temporary session files after the script runs. Best regards.
