Access WHM & Cpanel Account through FTP

Hello dear forum, this is my first post on this forum. I would like the following knowledge. I have created a panel user via WHM whose files I want to access via FTP (Filezilla). I have to download a whole folder (about 60GB). How exactly do I set up the FTP access? That I can also access all files? Where do I find the login, password and port? Do I have to set something in WHM? Or only in the Cpanel User Account? Thank you very much!

  You can use the same cpanel login credentials for FTP

  Hi @sabineweisner, Firstly, welcome to the cPanel forum. You can create an additional FTP account or use the default FTP account that was created when your cPanel account was created. You would use your username, along with your password and the server's hostname or IP address to connect on port 21 It obviously may take some time to download the entire file. In the future, it'd be better to use SFTP rather than FTP as it is more secure. Hope that helps!

  You can able to connect using your cPanel username and Password using Filezilla (FTP Client) it should connect !

  Hello @sabineweisner As mentioned by the others, you can simply use your cPanel username and password for FTP access. Note, the cPanel user credentials can also be used for SFTP access.
