Uploaded MP3 file, 404 Error

Hello! I created a folder under public_html for audio/audiofile.mp3 but when I go to the URL it says "404 | Not Found|". I embedded it via an audio element in Clickfunnels(page building software if you're not familiar) and when I click the play button nothing happens. However, when I view the source code for that same page, I can locate the link to my audio file and click on it and it instantly downloads. What I want to happen is to add the URL to that audio element in Clickfunnels and have the audio player access the file from the directory and stream it. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
