    Shouldn't be anything with the OS, how long has the server been configured? It may be that propagation hadn't completed yet for your local machine.

    Thanks. It was configured last Wednesday and the emails still not working today. I also know the right IP was being picked up via a ping call from my mac. I have, however, just got it to work. I deleted the account and re-added it, rather than just updating the password and that has worked. There probably was a cache of some sort, within the mail account, that kept it pointing to the wrong IP and not using the DNS. Thanks.
