Newbie! Need help with which files to delete in File Manager
Our disk usage in the file manager is extremely high. I am wondering if anyone know what files would be safe to delete. We have some TextEdit files which take up a bunch of space.
The largest files are in the public_html folder. There are two (4 and 6 GB) with file type text/x-generic. Permission level is 0600. The last modified date is June 8. When I click to view the file, I get this message:
Archive: ziTfIczH
End-of-central-directory signature not found. Either this file is not a zipfile, or it constitutes one disk of a multi-part archive.
In the latter case the central directory and zipfile comment will be found or the last disk(s) of this archive.
unzip: cannot find zipfile directory in one of ziTfIczH or ziTfIczH.zip, and cannot find ziTfIczH.ZIP, period.
I also have an error_log file which is large.
Please help!

It's extremely important to understand what files you're removing when looking at clearing diskspace. I can't tell you what the contents of ziTfIczH.zip are but it is a zipped/compressed file. What size is the error log and what is its path/where is it located? Ultimately it'd be impossible to tell you what is removable with the information you've provided thus far. As many details as possible would be helpful, though in a lot of cases we can't tell you whether or not you use a specific file or not. 0 -
