I have problems with Pure-FTPD

Hi, I have problems with Pure-FTPD, when I download a list of files example the public_html folder that weighs about 50 megabytes, about 2600 files, when it reaches 1800 it freezes and bans my ip temporarily, I have no idea how to fix this thing, I also put the bandwidth limit in the ftp client, the limit of one connection etc but nothing, I tried to use ProFTPD too, but the exact same problem, instead via ssh no problem, whatever I do

  What is the bandwidth limit you imposed? What is the output in regard to the FTP transaction in /var/log/messages
  when this occurs?

  Hi, thanks for you reply, i set it bandwidth limit (on filezilla), but i have the same problem, so i don't know how can i solve this, but the server don't have any limit
