DNS Manager
Hello guys, first I apologize for my English.
I have a VPS server with cPanel / WHM, where I manage multiple domains.
I would like to continue hosting websites and emails on the VPS and manage my DNS on AWS Route53.
So, I had a test with one of my domains.
I imported all DNS entries from WHM to Route53 without problems, but I realized that it is not possible to delete the DNS zone in WHM, it is only possible to delete entries (except the SOA entry)
According to this scenario, what would be the best option?
a) Delete all entries, leaving only the SOA entry.
b) Delete all entries, leaving the SOA entry and adding the AWS NS entries
c) other. Which one?

Instead of deleting the DNS zones, you can simply disable the nameservers on your server and use the external nameservers, or do you have a specific reason to delete them? 0 -

Hi RoseHosting, I would like to exclude the zone because I will do the partial migration of the domains.0 -
It is possible to delete a dns zone through WHM>>DNS Functions>>Delete a DNS Zone 0 -

Hi cPanelLauren, when I tried to delete, the following message appeared: You cannot remove the domain "xxxxx.xxx" because it is still configured for HTTP use on the "xxxxx" account. In order to remove the domain, perform any of the following actions: Remove the domain from the account with the "List Subdomains" interface.0 -
Right, as long as the domain exists you wouldn't be able to remove the associated zone file. If you remove it from the subdomain list the associated DNS zone file would automatically be removed. What exactly are you trying to accomplish maybe there's another way to achieve your end goal? 0
