Change VHM server from NAT to Public

Greetings, I'm in front of an issue and i don't know currently how do i proceed. My server ( Centos ) is configured with a local address. However, on my site, is assigned a public ip. Nameserver etc all have public ip. I'm forwarding the requests from the public address -> local network ( server ) and the site is working. Now i would like to disable the NAT mode of VHM and assign the public ip on my server. Im editing the ifcfg-eth0 and configuring successfully the public ip address but when im doing that i can not access the site at all. Does anybody have any idea?
