Error checking mail from cpanel

Hello I am having an issue with the cPanel webmail. Most of the emails returns with fatal error. Mailbox does not exist. What could have been the problem?   Can you clarify how/where you're seeing this? If possible provide the steps necessary to replicate the issue.
