I'm confused as to how you are uploading files using WHM? Where are you uploading them to? The logo needs to be uploaded (you could theoretically even use file manager to upload it) then placed in /var/cpanel/customizations/brand/
and renamed to webmail.svg (if it's an SVG file) as the documentation states: Root
    Item File path File name
    Favicon /var/cpanel/customizations/brand favicon.ico
    Logo /var/cpanel/customizations/brand logo.svg or logo.png
    Webmail logo /var/cpanel/customizations/brand webmail.svg or webmail.png
    Custom styles /var/cpanel/customizations/styled/stylename N/A
Pending you're adding it as the root user.
    • It should also have the same ownership/permissions as the other .svg and png files in the directory.
    • You may have to create the /var/cpanel/customizations/brand/ directory if you don't have existing customizations

I'm attaching a screen shot. I found this in WHM > cPanel > Customization. Otherwise, I've used SCP to copy the logo to the servers.

Ok, that's perfect, my apologies I was just a little confused for a second because I forgot about this portion of the interface. This is what should be present if it's customized - now the webmail logo I am actually curious about since I just added my own and don't see it and I believe I remember a conversation about this recently. You have to edit the tmpl file I believe to reference it. I do believe the docs where you were looking did indeed say it would failover to the png but I believe that may be incorrect after looking here Guide to cPanel Interface Customization - Login Images - Developer Documentation - cPanel Documentation Now, another thing to keep in mind is that the modern webmail does not include the Webmail logo at ALL I believe it just uses the cP logo now in Roundcube and none in Horde

I was confusing customization through WHM with what should be done using a custom theme. I don't have much time to learn about that right now, so I just uploaded new webmail images, with the understanding that they may/will be overwritten with a future update. I'll take a look at the cPanel theme tutorials when there's time. By the way, how do I marked this as solved?
