cPanel Charging $9 more for Litespeed?
When i go to deploy Litespeed from WHM im taken to an invoice that suggests that i should pay a prorated amt of $45 for lightspeed. There is no other information about which version they are trying to sell me. Is it the 1 worker unlimited domains / users / cores? When i go to lightspeed they offer me a 15 days trial + the same plan is $36.00.
You would think that buying Lightspeed though cPanel had a discount or something attached too it but there is none! :(
How about offering us a discount or trial? I mean come on you guys.

I believe the version of LiteSpeed offered inside cPanel is based on the specifications of your server. 0 -
As far as I know, the Unlimited pack they sell is with 2 workers - so that would be identical to the monthly price at litespeedtech.com, but of course now I cannot find the details :) Else you may want to mail cs@cpanel.net for any pricing questions ;) 0 -
And you really (really) don't want to match your LSWS license to the number of CPU's. As an example (to keep it simple) if you have a 4 CPU/core box, you prob. want a 2 CPU LSWS license. That lets LSWS use (at most) 2 CPU's using 2 CPU's for PHP/MySQL etc. You need to 'logically' leave some CPU available for MySQL/PHP etc. 0 -
We offer two separate Litespeed Licenses: The 8GB Litespeed license - RAM Limit: 8GB
- Worker Processes: 1
- Cache: LSCache Standard
- Unlimited Domains
- RAM Limit: Unlimited
- Worker Processes: 3
- Cache: LSCache Standard
- Domains: Unlimited

3-worker makes it worth it. Because 1 worker looks less. You said its good for servers with up to 16 cores. How about servers with higher cores? What are the options out there? 0 -
These are the licenses we offer. LiteSpeed has their own offering which, if you have more than 16 cores would be more suitable, here: Choosing A License - LiteSpeed Technologies 0
