SSL for WHM (panel not domains) is self-signed
Hello there, Chrome now blocks sites with self-signed certificates, which means I can't login to my WHM on Chrome.
How do I get a non-self-signed certificate for WHM? (For WHM panel and not hosted domains).

cPanel offers free hostname certificates, if you're accessing WHM with the hostname of the server you should be able to access with that certificate: https://host.name.tld:2087
How are you accessing WHM?0 -
I'm accessing it directly from the IP, that shouldn't matter. When I view the certificate it says it's self-signed. What could be stopping it from generating a proper hostname certificate? 0 -
If you're accessing directly via the IP there would not be an SSL certificate to cover it. You can not procure an SSL certificate for an IP address. In order to access over https with a valid certificate you have to access using the hostname or domain name. 0
