Number of pigz processes - Optimum settings?

Hi. I have upgraded my dedicated server and want to get optimum settings obviously I have: Processors: 2 x Xeon E5-2640v3 - 32cores Memory: 197GB RAM Disks: 4x 1TB SSDs RAID: Hardware RAID 10 OS: CentOS 7 What would be the optimum settings please for: gzip compression level (currently on default 6) Number of pigz processes (currently on default 1 ) If there is anything else anywhere i should be checking i would be grateful for a point in the right direction! many thanks

  For the best performance, we recommend that you set this value to match the number of processor cores that are available on your server.
