Email account missing CUR and NEW
Hi
I'm migrating an email account from one CPanel host to a new one. I've followed the usual back up process of downloading the CUR and NEW folders from the old host.
I've created the new email account on the new host, but when I visit the mail// it has all the dovecot files but not existing CUR or NEW directory.
I've tried creating the folder and uploading the files anyway but this doesn't work either, the mail still isn't visible in webmail.
Any ideas why Cpanel isn't creating these directories when creating the accounts? is it a configuration? any ideas welcome

Greetings, Of note, if the 'cur' and 'new' folders do not exist, they are automatically created when you log into the account via webmail. Are you able to confirm that these folders do not exist by default on a newly created account? In regard to the emails not showing up in webmail after uploading, did you also resync/update the dovecot index with: doveadm index -u $cPuser INBOX
where "$cPUser" represents the cPanel user name. This will generate a dovecot index for the emails present in the folders and should allow the emails to be seen via the webmail interface. More information on the 'doveadm' command can be found here:0 -
Thanks for you response, yes I can confirm a newly created account doesn't have these folders even after logging into the Horde Webmail interface. I tried to import some emails using the .mbox import with did put some emails in but still didn't create a cur or new folder. 0
