    Hi @mpduk, It is possible the server was recently upgraded. In short, it's an issue with the cipher suites supported on the server. Please refer to @cPanelMichael's post

    Thank you. To be honest the information was a little over my head, however in desperation, 10 minutes before I read your response I checked the "outgoing mail" settings on Outlook and changed to "login to incoming email server before sending" from "use the same method as for receiving mail" (sorry I quote from memory) and suddenly that particular account could send again. Now I'll have to see if this works also on the Outlook on the Windows 10 system, which unfortunately is in Eastbourne (I am in Sweden) and the guy using it is more clueless than I... But much appreciate your suggestion. Thank you. Carla

    @ZenHostingTravis is correct, and looking at your profile I don't think you'd have access to make these changes. I'd suggest you discuss what changed with your hosting provider along with updating outlook to accept a relevant encryption method.
