proftpd on dedicated IP not allowing username to exclude the "@domain"

    Just in case some poor soul comes across this at a later date. My hunch was right, make sure the @domain you want to get rid of is the primary/default domain for that cpanel account and then toggle between ProFTPD and back to Pure-FTPD and it worked for me! I am happy that it ended up working with Pure-FTP anyway

    I'm glad to see you were able to get this to work for you though from the documentation here: FTP Accounts | cPanel & WHM Documentation as well as from the information relevant to assigning a dedicated IP address when you assign a dedicated IP to an account the primary domain should be what is resolved, without making any modifications. If this didn't happen I would suggest you contact you open a ticket to have this investigated further by our analysts.
