I have a question, that is: how will apache be installed in the Ubuntu LTS cPanel? Using the source package, or the apt package? Or maybe they install the yum package into ubuntu, which I am confused about, and which probably won't happen. How will easyapache work in Ubuntu?0 -
@Chi.C.J.Rajeeva Lochana - we haven't made any of those decisions yet, but we'll post updates and documentation on that process as soon as we have them. 0 -

Since the news and my last read, cPanel is going to support CentOS 8, cloudlinuxOS 8 and the upcoming almalinux but will cPanel also support Ubuntu LTS ? or was that a freakout of a moment when we all Heard About CentOS 8 EOL 2021. - Is cPanel still going to Support Ubuntu LTS and are they currently working on a cPanel version for Ubuntu LTS as of 1-19-2021 ? Thanks Spiro0 -

They are probably. But maybe @cPanelLauren knows.0 -
@Chi.C.J.Rajeeva Lochana - Lauren doesn't come around anymore as she's working on internal projects :D We're definitely still moving forward with Ubuntu though! What and how hasn't been determined, but there will be very visible announcements when that is made official. 0 -

@Spirogg They have written it in their blog. Not sure if that is not official... They have written: [QUOTE] - We are accelerating support for cPanel on Ubuntu LTS, and expect to deliver a production-ready version in late 2021.

Right? The smiley list has actually been chopped a bit from what all is included in the default install of the forums software, so that one isn't present, and I don't have a good way to adjust those easily. 0
