Passing IDNA Domains WHM API 1

I use WHM API 1 and when I use enable_dnssec_for_domains call on regular domains example.com it works like a charm, but when I try with norwegian letters " it doesnt work. I even tried passing it as IDNA domain (punycode) but this doesnt work also. Any suggestion or ideas what do do?
