After last update: 451 Temporary local problem - please try later
Hi,
After last WHM/cPanel update I have this problem with 1 email:
[QUOTE]R=lookuphost T=remote_smtp defer (-44)
451 Temporary local problem - please try later
This only happens with one email account (email1@mydomain.com), but other emails that use the same domain are working correctly (email2@mydomain.com, email3@mydomain.com). Additional information: when I use Webmail work correctly, this only happens when I try to connect via SMTP. Last WHM/cPanel update: [QUOTE]Fixed case CPANEL-36837: Update exim to 4.94.2-1.cp1194.
I checked in Google but not found solution. Thank you very much. Have a nice day.

I am having similar issues since last nights updates. This is appearing in the my exim logs (/var/log/exim_mainlog): temporarily rejected RCPT : invalid "condition" value "no currently not having any luck deciphering the issue. Are you able to check your exim logs and see if its similar enough or whether i should start a new thread. 0 -

try disabling GreyListing if you have it on, should help fix the issue. 0 -
Thanks, disabling graylisting worked for me 0 -
Good afternoon, From last night, a lot of incoming emails to domains on our serwer are reject with notice - ' invalid "condition" value "no ' or ' invalid "condition" value "yes ' A lot, but NOT ALL. I restarted Exim and IMAP service, not effect. Please help us with this strange problem. Cpanel 94.0.7, Centos 7.9 0 -
Hi, Also disable greylisting worked for me too, but this isn't a solution, we will receive more spam now. We wait until developers check this problem and update us here, we cannot enable greylist again?. Thank you very much. EDIT: we have this problem in more servers, my clients are losing emails, please can you check this urgent?. Thank you. 0 -

same problem here exim_mainlog full of errors like this: 2021-05-05 15:50:54 H=xxxxxxxx:59585 X=TLS1.2:ECDHE-RSA-AES256-GCM-SHA384:256 CV=no F= temporarily rejected RCPT : invalid "condition" value "no 0 -
Same here. It is happening on all three of my machines (all running CL6 + latest WHM 94 after exim was updated yesterday). if I "grep greylisting" /var/log/exim_mainlog, no entries about greylisting show up after the time exim was updated. If I "grep unchecked /var/log/exim_mainlog|grep SPF", there are no more of the usual notes about SPF not being checked, since the time of the exim update. The exim update seems to have broken something and it is very possible that greylisting and other things are no longer working. I have a conference call with a client about something else right now, but if cPanel doesn't respond to this by the time I'm done I'll attempt to open up a ticket with them. not good. It's safe to say that any mail NOT exempt from greylisting is probably failing to be delivered altogether, at least from what I can see. Mike 0 -
WHM 94.0.8 is out now, which fixes two exim issues -- and probably fixes this. I'm updating to 94.0.8 and will reply back if this fixes it (without having to disable Greylisting). Mike 0 -
Looks like all my machines are stuck on the RPM update right now -- guessing the cPanel repos are overloaded. Yes, now I saw the version 94.0.8. Can you give information about whether the problem is fixed or not after the update?0 -
Since I cant update to 94.0.8 right now (still stuck on the update), I disabled greylisting. I can confirm that I am no longer seeing those messages once I disabled greylisting. (although I can't confirm yet that those previously rejected messages are being delivered -- too many irons in the fire right now). Mike 0 -

I will post once I confirm whether WHM 94.0.8 fixes things. But, as of right now I can't update (looks like the repos are overloaded). So I have temporarily disabled greylisting on all my boxes. Once the machines update, I'll enable greylisting again and check for delivery issues / errors. Mike0 -
Hey everyone - I merged several posts into this thread to avoid the confusion of having multiple different threads on this issue. By now it seems that everyone has figured out you either need to perform the update or disabled greylisting. Let me know if you're still seeing issues after you've performed one of those two fixes. 0 -

Rex, I'm not seeing issues after disabling greylisting. I have to leave for an appointment. When I get back I'll make sure the machines have updated and then verify everything is working post-update with greylisting turned back on. Thanks Mike0 -
Update to 94.0.8 has fixed it for me... Very unhappy though, clients are furious as some emails have been getting through, no one suspected an issue and a number of time critical emails not getting through have caused a real loss of business at least for one client. I have never dug into the workings of cpanel updates. I go with Stable and assume major bugs aren't going to get introduced, why was I wrong in that assumption? How do I stop these kinds of updates installing without my confirmation? 0 -
Hi, we have faced the same issue. We also disabled the greylisting briefly to fix the issue and let customers get their emails. But this leaded to another issue: after disabling greylisting and restarted exim, no mail could be sent outside the server via our smarthost, the error is about invalid/missing authentication. After spending one hour trying to fix the trouble we have tried to disable the Smarthost from Exim in our cPanel server. This have fixed the sending issue but of course is sub-optimal. Is this connected to the same issue of this thread? Thanks 0 -
At this point you should be able to enable greylisting normally after the Exim update. 0 -

Hi, we have runned the upgrade: # /usr/local/cpanel/cpanel -V 94.0 (build 8) And re-enabled greylisting (leaving smarthost disabled) and we get the same trouble sending emails. We are using a script in python to test this, it's a script that we use everyday to send us thing by email from cPanel servers. With Greylisting enabled Traceback (most recent call last): File "sendemail", line 48, in server.login(username, passwd) File "/usr/lib64/python2.7/smtplib.py", line 621, in login raise SMTPAuthenticationError(code, resp) smtplib.SMTPAuthenticationError: (535, 'Incorrect authentication data') With Greylisting disabled the same script is able to send email connecting to an external SMTP as usual We have turned off Greylisting again and leaved Smarthost disabled, but I think that there's something that need a fix. We need to open a ticket? Thanks0
