Maintenance Error Email - What Does it Mean?

I keep getting emails that start with this message followed by a bunch of stuff I've never seen before. Maintenance ended; however, it did not exit cleanly (256). The following events were logged: "scripts/rpmup". Review the update logs to determine why the update failed.

    Hello! It looks like the RPM update process portion of the cPanel update had issues. You would need to review the update logs to determine a problem. You can review the output with the following command. less /var/cpanel/updatelogs/last

    Hello! The output you provided doesn't go back far enough to show the errors. You would be looking for a part of the output where the "rpmup" script is running. You will see rpmup lines with a capital E indicating an error, and more information elaborating on why the error occurred.
