Timeouts and file corruption

How would you fix the server if an issue like timing out happens? Try again after a few hours, minutes? I had a timeout I'm assuming happen yesterday and now it appears the files are either corrupted or I can't write to them anymore. I get this /enqueue/scripts/enqueue-scripts.php a _ i r example@example.com ftp 1 * c Thanks

  I ended up figuring it out. It was a PHP session module that got stuck and needed to be restarted. Thanks.
