File compression and downloads just hanging...

Hi there, Warren here. I'm new to the forum and kindly request assistance with the following if any other has experienced this issue. Using File manager, we can no longer zip files or download multiple files at a time. e.g. I'm trying to zip a 600mb folder and after 3hrs its still in process and this is on a centOS 7.9 with 2 CPU's and 20gb disk space still available. We can zip and download the same files on a shared server within 5min. Assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

  Hello! Do you see anything in the cPanel or Apache error logs? You can tail each log while triggering the error. tail -f /usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log tail -f /etc/apache2/logs/error_log

  Hi Anthony, thanks for the swift feedback, much appreciated. The issue was caused by an XMRig CPU Miner which was running up the processing capacity. We have removed the malicious files and the issue is now resolved. Cheers Warren
