Migrate one server to another

I have to migrate full cpanel accounts from one server to another. How do i setup the same hostname and nameservers on the new server same as the old, during the migration? Or the only way to do it is, once everything is migrated, to change manually hostname and nameservers and shut down the old server?

  You can have the same hostname if you want and then once you are done you can just point the hostname over to the new server. Please note that if you use the same hostname Live Transfer will not be available (i.e cPanel won't automatically suspend the account and redirect the visitors to the new server). If you would like to use Live Transfer then you can either change the hostname of the old server and set the hostname on the new or set a temporary hostname on the new server then change back to the original once you are done with the transfer :)

  I was gonna change the old hostname to something else, and then I can swap the nameservers to the old one. Thanks!

  Better thing is use another Hostname instead of current host name After all done, you can simply change only IP addresses of the nameservers then all websites will be work again from new server. Finally inform your customers about new HostName. that will be easier.
