The server failed to synchronize test@test.coms mail because an error happened
Hi All,
I tried to transfer a cpanel account to a new server by transfer tool but I received a following warning:
The server failed to synchronize "test@test.com""s mail because an error happened: (XID bd3hhg) "/usr/bin/dsync" reported error code "75" when it ended: Cpanel::Exception/(XID 75ajcy) Access Denied at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/CpXferClient.pm line 273. However, I checked the mailbox of test@test.com and all the mail were successfully transfered. May I ask if this warning can be ignored or not?
Thank you very much!

If all the mails are there then it can be ignored. The error says that dovecot (IMAP server) returned an error while synchronising the mails: Error: read(remote) failed: EOF (version not received) doveadm(31740): Error: Remote command returned Are you transferring from an EOL server like CentOS 6 to a newer server? 0 -

Yea, both old and new server are running CentOS v7.9.2009. By the way, may I know if I can "Pretransfer" the account to the new server so I can use the option "overwrite" to only update the modified files in order to speed up the migration process? Thank you very much! Tom0 -
Overwrite will transfer everything again so unfortunately you can't pre-transfer easily from WHM but manually using rsync. 0 -

The transfer tool needs one hour to transfer the whole account but only needs 5mins to complete the overwrite process. It seems that "overwrite" uses rsync?0 -
Yes it is certainly! 0 -

Thank you! I'll do the migration later on.0 -

@cPanelAnthony can you advise here why the "overwrite" option during the transfer might not sync the emails correctly? 0 -
May I ask if I can remove all emails by deleting all folders and files in /home/user/mail via ssh? 0 -

You can easily remove all email accounts from cPanel, that would be safer.0 -
Migration success. Thank you very much! 0 -
I'm so happy to hear you got the migration completed! 0
