how to host website on one server and webapp on another

Hello, I have a hosting Windows with the website in the root and a asp webapp in a subfolder (example.com/webapp). I would like to transfer the WoprdPress website to another host with cPanel, but I want to keep the webapp on the old hosting Windows. How can I do this after the change of nameserver?

  Create a subdomain webapp.exampe.com, pointing to the webapp directory. When you have moved to cPanel server edit DNS: webapp.exampe.com => Windows server IP.

  Thanks @quietFinn. Unfortunately with the old provider the subdomains creation is a paid service. There is another way?

  A domain can't lead to 2 different places, so the only solution I can see is that either the app or WP must use a subdomain.
