Connection to WHM via tailscale (and other VPN) : times out ?

Hello, there are now possibilities to create easyly VPN private networks, like tailscale and others. Advantage is that administration ports can keep closed. For example Tailscale creates a private P2P network in the 100.64.0.0/10 subnet. It is possible to have the loginscreen of WHM, but looks like login times out (before 2FA screen). Does someone know where this comes from ? Seems like in the past I was able to login via this private subnet. Thanks.
