Local mail to smart host

I believe there are 2 ways to route local mail to my smarthost (Mimecast). I can play with the Exim advanced configuration settings or change - Home / DNS Functions / Email Routing Configuration from Local Mail Exchanger to Remote Mail Exchanger. The way I see it working is that local to local mail will go through Mimecast and Mimecast knows which users are on Cpanel and which users are on Exchange. Does this sound reasonable? I already have it working where mail that goes through Mimecast first gets routed correctly. My problem is with mail that comes through Cpanel first.

  if you search on the forums for " Mimecast " there are a couple threads on Mimecast not sure if this one would be of any help but there are more

  Thanks! After a little more research, I think my easiest solution is going to be adding a forwarder in Cpanel to their .onmicrosoft.com address.
