Hey there! I also don't see that package using EasyApache on my personal system. Can you run the following command and let us know the output? rpm -qa | grep -i timez

It looks like this package is controlled by Litespeed as they have more details on getting that installed here:

You're very welcome! Let me know if that doesn't get things working how you expect.

Unfortunately did not work. I even tried uninstalling and re-installing via their script with no change in effect. I'll take this up on their forums though. I appreciate the the help and link!

Except their forums won't let me register. ;-) Should I take this up with cPanel support?

Sure - there's no reason you couldn't submit a ticket to our team so we can take a look!

I'm holding off creating a cPanel ticket in case anything is heard from LiteSpeed. That said, I do license LiteSpeed through cPanel, so maybe a cPanel support ticket is appropriate.

Sure, if your license is through us, feel free to make that ticket!

My LiteSpeed license is through cPanel inc. My cPanel license is through my data centre. I'll try though :-) Thanks.

Thanks for that - I'm following along with that ticket on my end now.

LiteSpeed confirmed via ticket they are working on a rewrite of the timezoneDB detection script, and that these warnings can be safely ignored for now.

Thanks. I got much the same message from cPanel support overnight as well.

@HostXNow_Chris - at this point it is in Litespeed's hands, but I haven't heard much on my end.

Still no fix available. One client alerted that now, LiteSpeed requests to install php56-devel or 71 to fix this (even though the mentioned versions are not even installed on EasyApache). I guess we should wait for LiteSpeed to properly rewrite their timezone detection script.

Update - I spoke with the Litespeed team and they said the fix *could* be released as soon as today, but if not, sometime next week.

LiteSpeed recently released an update of their WHM plugin, 4.1.11. We tested this and timezone warnings are gone now :)
