Disk usage
i have two 512 GB Disks in server.
first or primary disk is almost full. 90% disk is full. so is it possible to add the secondary disk to host more accounts.

show us the output of "df -h" and "cat /proc/mdstat" commands. If its in RAID1 then it is possible to break the array and mount the other disk to host more accounts but you will lose the fault tolerancy. If one disk dies you will lose the data. 0 -
No RAID. Both disk have no connections. 0 -
then sure you can do this. Just make sure it is mounted to /home2 and in WHM under Basic settings you can set /home2 as additional home folder for the new accounts to be created. 0 -
Mount the secondary disk as /home2 and set it in Basic settings "Enter the location where you wish for new users" home directories to be created." to /home2. You may also need to rearrange(move) some old accounts from the primary to the secondary disk using the interface Home /Account Functions /Rearrange
an Account to make more free space on the primary disk, this will be the recommended approach if you have home and var directories all mounted as "/" partition to the primary disk.0 -
thanks to all. my doubt is some accounts in /home and some on /home2. so both accounts will work or not. 0 -
both will work 0 -
okay. and what about the mysql storage. this wil change mysql also.? 0 -
This will not make any changes to your database data directory, it will only affect the home directory of the moved cPanel accounts and new cPanel accounts. 0 -
