Seems like this is resolved, for us anyway...

At this time the issue is resolved. Like I mentioned, there will likely still be some hiccups, but the major outage is done. If you did switch to Let's Encrypt, that won't cause a problem with future renewals.

@ahmedof92 - that is a separate issue related to your domain. I'd recommend scanning your domain with IntoDNS.com to see what issues that finds, and then get those resolved.

Hello, We're also experiencing AutoSSL issues, we're still getting this message: "[2023-01-06T10:11:13Z] AutoSSL failed to request an SSL certificate for "example.com" because of an error: (XID h1foo) The response to the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) "POST" request from " indicated an error (503, Service Unavailable)". "12:49:38 PM ERROR AutoSSL failed to request an SSL certificate for "example.com" because of an error: (XID eh1mie) The cPanel Store returned an error (X::UnknownError) in response to the request "POST ssl/certificate/free": Service Unavailable.." Please can we have an update on progress of a fix for this?

@tommyxv and @perplex - those are the normal errors I mentioned may happen due to the system being overloaded, and not related to the problem in this thread. There isn't a way to resolve those except to wait for the SSL to be issued.

Reporting back to verify this is resolved for myself also. All SSL certificates have been renewed successfully eventually. Thank you. (kind of off topic: I ran the intodns check for my server also just cause. I would like to ask for improvement suggestions with regards to that output. What would be the best forum category to open a thread under?)

@skrl - glad to hear that's working well. You'd want to post that DNS issue under "Domain Management"

We still have problems with this: The "cPanel (powered by Sectigo)" provider cannot currently accept incoming requests. The system will try again later. The let's encrypt won't work as we are rate limited almost instantly.

@sunmacet - those are normal overload issues from Sectigo, and not related to the error of this thread. There isn't anything that can be done for that problem except to wait.

Also got the Error Message when i tried to Renew a SSL Certificate for a Subdomain: AutoSSL failed to request an SSL certificate for "sub.example.de" because of an error: (XID 89hr5y) The response to the HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) "POST" request from " indicated an error (503, Service Unavailable):

503 Service Una" Any suggestions? Is the Problem still there? Edit: after i switched the SSL Provider to "Let's Encrypt" and rerun the AutoSSL it works for now.

@attentus_behrens - it looks like there was a similar hiccup today, but this wasn't nearly as widespread as the initial issue.

@Mr.Novo - it looks like Sectigo ratelimits were hit, leading to a similar issue. It should be good now. I can't say this enough - switch to Let's Encrypt :D

I've installed Let's Encrypt last year when this problem first occured. Even though you say in a previous conversation that current certificates won't be affected I'm pretty uncomfortable changing provider on production server :D I first have to test it in a test server.

We changed from Let's Encrypt to Sectigo when Let's Encrypt had problems, and back to Let's Encrypt when Sectigo started to have problems. Those changes caused no problems whatsoever.

@quietFinn thanks for reply that really helps.

This is an on going issue with Sectigo all the time. cPanel should have something other than the daily check when they fail due to a service overload. I manually tried to get a cert request in over 15 minutes and got it in the queue on a problem domain that missed the check repeatedly. Great that I was able to get a resolution, but annoying that this isn't automated.
