CloudLinux and PHP Selector

I have seen PHP Selector when using CloudLinux PHP Selector does not contain EA or ALT prefix. Is it possible to define EA or ALT version? An example 7.4 ALT or EA. It was solved in the past using cPanel PHP Selector.

  Yes Right. php select didn"t show alt or ea in new theme of cpanel. but if you want only Cloudlinux php selector then you can disable the multiple php manager using feature manager in whm. I hope it will help.

  Hello, I'd like to bump this question if I may as mine is similar. Looking for some clarity on CloudLinux PHP Selector and Easy Apache PHP versions. I have a fresh install [AlmaLinux 8/CloudLinux 8] with full root access and I'm just going through the process of getting this server set up, there are no accounts on this server yet. When reviewing the profiles in EA4 I can see the choice of installing older versions of PHP coupled with the various modules. If I then check the CloudLinux manager, under "Selector", I can see in the "Supported Versions": PHP 4.4 through to 8.2. So the question is, the ALT PHP versions offered by CloudLinux seem to be installed and enabled out of the box by default, is there a requirement to compile the ones listed in EA4 into a new profile so that PHP pages are served? Thanks!

  In EA4 (for quite a while) the versions are installed via the package manager, not complied. So if there is a version that you need, but it's not installed, you have to go through EA4 and select the version(s) you want to install. The basic different between CL PHP Selector and EA4 is that CL backports security patches, so you can have older versions of PHP if you really need them.

  In EA4 (for quite a while) the versions are installed via the package manager, not complied. So if there is a version that you need, but it's not installed, you have to go through EA4 and select the version(s) you want to install. The basic different between CL PHP Selector and EA4 is that CL backports security patches, so you can have older versions of PHP if you really need them.

  
  Also, even if using the CL PHP Selector, you"ll still need to configure an EA PHP version for the System PHP in the MultiPHP Manager.
