@cPRex Will this be automatically updated in our servers ( for example, with new software update ) ? Or is this our long term solution. 0 -
It is my understanding that new WPT installs have this disabled, but they didn't retroactively go in and forcibly turn this off. Once you apply that line of code to the file, that is a permanent solution. 0 -

When you talk about a new install - does this include upgrading? I'm wondering - if I just leave this alone, will it be "fixed" the next time I upgrade cpanel? Thanks for your patience in explaining this. 0 -
This isn't tied to or related to a specific cPanel version, but is only related to the WordPress Toolkit software. Do you still see the panopticon process running on your machine at this time? If the answer to that is "yes" then the only fix is to manually disable it. 0 -

earlier you wrote: [quote] If you are using WordPress Toolkit, you still wouldn't need to do anything as the update would happen automatically in the background.
Will there be an update that happens automatically in the background?0 -
Yes - as long as your server has updates enable that tool will update. However, it won't disable the process if it's already present. If you see it running you have to manually disable it. 0 -
@Qadisha - you can run edit /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/wp-toolkit/var/etc/config.ini and change "isCpanelPanopticonEnabled" to false if that tool is causing issues on your machine.
In my installation the /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/wp-toolkit/var/etc/config.ini does not exist. I've juste its sample version /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/wp-toolkit/var/etc/config.ini.sample Can you confim i've to create it with just the single param you've reported? Thanks a.0 -
That's correct - you'll have to create the file and add that one entry. 0
