Creating domains no longer works
I need to be able to reliably create new domain names. Can you guys offer any suggestions for a control panel or web manager that will allow me to create a new domain name without having to do workarounds? If your service still offers this feature can you tell me if you have made any recent changes that would permanently prevent me from creating new domains like I have been doing for the last couple years?
I get a similar error to others eg; Error: (XID b66x7y) This domain points to an IP address that does not use the DNS servers associated with this server. Transfer the domain to this server"s nameservers at the domain"s registrar or update your system to recognize the current DNS servers. To do this, use WHM"s Configure Remote Service IPs interface.
However, my "Configure Remote Service IPs" has been configured properly and has been working until I tried to use it today. If there's another service that you prefer I use please make a recommendation. If your service no longer offers this feature or requires a different workaround for creating domains, can you let me know?
Many thanks

You can enable the remote domains option in Tweak settings to resolve this. Simply go to Tweak Settings, search for Allow remote domains and enable the option. 0 -
Thank you for the suggestion. The setting indicates a security problem with doing so eg; " This can be a major security problem. If you must have it enabled, be sure not to allow users to park common Internet domains." I'm not sure how this setting was changed. I was just doing my normal thing setting up a new domain and this is the first time it hasn't worked. I'm a little hesitant to put the server at risk to be able to use this feature. Do you know if there is there a way to do this securely? 0 -
Thank you again AhtshamJutt. I think this is resolved with your recommendation. I changed the setting to on and after creating the domain, changed it back to off. Everything seems to work fine. I suspect I made this edit trying to secure the server with a setting I didn't and still don't quite understand. But I'm moving on... Thank you! 0 -
Enable the " Allow Remote Domains" setting before you add the domain, and then disable it. 0 -
Thank you. The "then disable it" suggestion is really helpful. 0
