cPanel installation is disabling network on proxmox
Hi all,
I have a proxmox setup with VMs. They all work perfectly fine and i can SSH into them from outside the proxmox network. Once i install cPanel, i can't ping them or SSH in them from outside of the network. I can still SSH from proxmox, but i can't open WHM with port :2087 and i can't login as root into them.
Seems like cPanel is changing some settings. I followed every single step for centos 7 and almalinux, i disabled selinux, i disabled all firewalls on the VMs and still there's no way logging in WHM or accessing it. I even reinstalled proxmox without any modifications just to try if it works and no luck.
I am hitting a dead end here. Any help will be appreciated. I also contacted proxmox they gave every possible option to try and still i can't get it work.
Thanks!

Try disabling the network Manager How to Disable Network Manager | cPanel & WHM Documentation Why do you want to install a new VM using CentOS 7? is it already EOL, I recommend to use Almalinux 8 for new cPanel servers 0 -
cPanel won't install if Network Manager is still installed/enabled. Are you building these VM's from a template (Cloud image) or from an ISO? Are they set for a static IP or DHCP? Have you looked at what networking looks like on the VM after you install cPanel (i.e. ip a or ifconfig)? We have lots of VM's installed under Proxmox running cPanel without issue, so it's prob. not something that cPanel is doing per-se. 0 -

I use almalinux ISO from one of the mirror links, it was from a provider knownhost or hivelocity. The IPs are static and they are listed in /etc/network/interfaces so i can manually add them during the installation. I use alamlinux and centos minimal.0
